Continuing Education Policy

Graduates from an NCRA-accredited court reporting institution desiring CSR(A) designation must apply for full CSR(A) status following six-months' working experience as a court reporter.  A letter of recommendation from an employer must accompany such application to be directed to the Registrar.

Once attaining CSR(A) status, each reporter must obtain 30 continuing education credits and attend one ASRA- , NCRA- , state- or provincially-sponsored function in each three-year block.

Note:  With the exception of ASRA and NCRA Conferences and Seminars, all 30 ASRA credits cannot be earned in only one category.
