As Gigecast continues to grow, we are always looking for the best and brightest people to be a part of our captioning team.
Job Description:
• Transcribes and captions video clips for broadcast programming on a freelance/subcontract basis (Off- line captioning)
• This is a contracted work-from-home position
Job Requirements:
• Must have excellent knowledge of English grammar, especially English punctuation
• Must have excellent research skills to be able to research spellings of uncommon words, places, events, etc.
• Must be on time and return projects according to strict deadlines
• Must be open to feedback and make immediate corrections
• Must have a computer with access to the internet to download movie files
• Must have captioning software that can export a .scc or .cap file
• Must be competent in converting word processing files
• Must be willing to transcribe a variety of material, including Hunting and Fishing, Travel, Music Videos and Documentaries, and various movies
